HOW TO PLANT A HEDGE -

Many, when they think of a hedge, they let themselves be discouraged because they believe that planting it is particularly difficult and that one must necessarily resort to the gardener. Nothing could be more false, here are four simple steps to make the company affordable for everyone :

  • Arrange the trees 4 meters apart. For plants sold in pots of 20 centimeters in diameter, holes 40 centimeters wide, and 40-50 centimeters deep are dug.
  • Insert the clods extracted from the pot into the holes. The collar should be 1-2 centimeters above ground level, alternating specimens of one variety and the other. Acer palmatum has several species with purple, green, bright red, red, and orange-yellow leaves.
  • Prepare a mixture of earth and excavation, cleaned of stones and impurities, and soil, and place on the bottom of the holes, in sequence, a 5-10 cm high layer of gravel, one 10 cm high. Add 4-5 handfuls of pelleted manure and another layer, thinner than the previous one, of the mixture.
  • Fill the holes, press well with your feet, and create a basin around each plant to convey the irrigation water. So wet for a long time and check that the collar, at the end of the operation, is at ground level.
